venturelab is commissioned by the innovation promotion agency CTI to train high-tech start-ups and offer entrepreneurship courses for students of higher education. This service is free of charge for all applicants having an innovative start-up project.
Started in May 2004, the venturelab program has proven to be a valuable partner for CTI in promoting innovative start-ups. Since its inception, a total of 1'800 days of training have been given throughout Switzerland, and more than 13'000 students and creative entrepreneurs have been given the chance to develop their start-up projects with venturelab.
The venturelab offer – Free custom-tailored training modules
During venturelab’s venture ideas conferences, students learn the secrets of success first hand from well-known entrepreneurs. The semester-long course venture challenge gives aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to test their business idea. A large number of start-ups that have met with success these last few years started their careers as entrepreneurs by following these modules.
Since its launch in 2004, venturelab has offered about 300 training modules, in other words, 1‘770 days of courses in various engineering schools, universities and schools of applied science.
13‘000 students and innovative start-ups have participated to these courses.
The first venture apéros were organized starting in 1996. Since then, about 48‘500 participants have taken part in more than 950 events.
