Facts & Figures

venturelab is commissioned by the innovation promotion agency CTI to train high-tech start-ups and offer entrepreneurship courses for students of higher education. This service is free of charge for all applicants having an innovative start-up project.

Started in May 2004, the venturelab program has proven to be a valuable partner for CTI in promoting innovative start-ups. Since its inception, a total of 1'800 days of training have been given throughout Switzerland, and more than 13'000 students and creative entrepreneurs have been given the chance to develop their start-up projects with venturelab.

The venturelab offer – Free custom-tailored training modules
During venturelab’s venture ideas conferences, students learn the secrets of success first hand from well-known entrepreneurs. The semester-long course venture challenge gives aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to test their business idea. A large number of start-ups that have met with success these last few years started their careers as entrepreneurs by following these modules.

The five-day workshop venture plan allows start-ups demonstrating particularly innovative business ideas to develop their business plan and business strategy, and present them in front of a jury of start-up experts and investors. During the venture training module, specific growth and launch strategies are developed, and financing for these strategies is determined with the help of professional investors.

Each year, the Swiss national entrepreneur team - the top 20 most innovative start-ups - have the chance to participate in the venture leaders module, an intensive business development program that takes place in Boston (USA). Here is a chance to meet American industry representatives, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs and make interesting business contacts overseas.
