How to apply for venture leaders

Are you the founder or manager or a promising high-tech start-up ? Are you a student, a post-graduate, a scientist or a researcher at a university? Or do you have an innovative piece of technology and an idea of how you might generate business from it? Do you have the ambition to further develop yourself and your business to achieve ambitious aims... then you have almost fulfilled the entry requirements for venture leaders.

It has to be said at the outset that only 20 entrants will make the cut. But if you can manage to win one of the places, you will be one of most promising Swiss hopefuls in the areas of science, IT/software, biotech, medtech, nanotech or high-tech in general. We can hardly wait to meet you and find out about your start-up project!

Step 1: Your application by March 1st, 2011

2. Check your mail (you'll receive the application form, as well as details on accessing the «My venturelab» intranet
3. Fill out the application form, send it to evaluation@venturelab.ch and upload it on your profile («My venturelab»).

Step 2: The personal presentation on March 24-25, 2011

A selection committe will pre-select 40 finalists from all applications.The 40 finalist will be invited to present their project to the jury comprising (subject to modifications) :

• Christian Schütz, BrainsToVentures AG (investor)
• Beat Schillig, «venturelab»
• Venture leaders Prize winner from previous editions

Along with the business idea, other important elements will be entrepreneurial personality, social skills and, last but not least, good presentation skills in English. The presentation and interviews will take place on March. The participants will be personally invited.
